VG-Steel-Braided-Brush by vectorgeek
VG-Steel-Braided-Brush
This was a problem I had at work and I worked out a solution after several fail attempts at creating a realistic steel braided hose pattern brush in Illustrator. I couldn't find anything close to it online so I decided to do it myself. Lots of trial and error in this work but I'm satisfied with the result. Adobe Illustrator CS6.

My new vectorgeek site www.vectorgeek.com is pretty much done. I organized the galleries and fixed everything up the way I wanted.
Right now I'm spending my time re-reading Game of Thrones and watching the new season. Such great stuff coming I can't wait to see how HBO pulls it off. Also re-watching Mad Men from the beginning with my family who hasn't seen it yet. We're almost caught up to the current season. Great writing, production and music!
Going to Photoshop World photoshopworld.com/ in Orlando this year. This will be my 4th time. It's always a fun time!
I just finished the new Tomb Raider game on Xbox. What a great game. I wish they would have had more of the classic puzzles of the previous TR games but they definitely upped the ante as far as the combat, game play and visual effects. Wow is this a pretty game to play! Hopefully new Tomb Raider games are on the way. Now if they could just release the new Half-Life game all would be well in my gaming world.
I took the dive and bought my first real DSLR that isn't even a true DSLR. The Sony A65 www.dpreview.com/products/sony… is classified as a DSLT for its translucent mirror system. I'm just trying to learn everything I can about the basic operation and hopfully I can dig deeper into it as I go. So far this thing takes amazing pictures.

Hey!

Glad to see that you've added more stuff - your artwork continues to be inspirational (as much as your designs useful).

Are more currency designs planned for the future?

Thanks. Yes, I'm working on some currency for a client. Nothing I can show yet. I didn't have any time to finish my Lord of the Ring side project. I might pick it up again some day.

Can you make Thracian currency?

I think most Thracian currency is coinage not paper if I'm not mistaken. I haven't done any coins.
